About 70% of people will get random muscle twitches. The medical term with this is fasciculation—spontaneous involuntary muscle contraction and relaxation. This could affect your eye lid, arms, hands, fingers, legs, ft, or tongue.

There’s a medical problem known as benign fasciculation syndrome. In my opinion this problem can be a dietary deficiency. But, the normal treatment methods are cognitive behavior therapy, anti-depression medication, and calcium funnel blockers.

For me, random muscle twitches come from a magnesium deficiency. About 70% of people also offers a magnesium deficiency. Leafy vegetables are wealthy in magnesium.

Other signs and symptoms of the magnesium deficiency:

• Fatigue

• Muscle cramps

• Anxiety

Other potential reasons for a muscle twitch:

• High calcium

• Low vitamin D

• Alkalosis (potentially the result of a high carb diet or low potassium)
