Today I wish to discuss COVID-19 (the coronavirus) and why certain underlying health problems place you in a greater risk. 

Pre-existing health issues and elevated COVID 19 mortality rates:

1. Cardiovascular — 13.2%

2. Diabetes — 9.2%

3. Chronic respiratory system — 8.%

4. Hypertension— 8.4%

5. Cancer — 7.6%

If an individual does not have these pre-existing health issues, the mortality rates are .9%. But, if an individual has underlying health problems, the dying rate can increase considerably.
