AGEs, Inflammation, and Hippocamapal Atrophy

You’ve probably heard me speak extensively concerning the toxic role of sugar and carbohydrates when it comes to brain health. I have even gone to date regarding state that elevated bloodstream sugar is correlated with shrinkage from the brain. Why would I only say that? Within this video we consider a study connecting shrinkage from the hippocampus with elevated bloodstream sugar. Now that we know that whenever bloodstream sugar is elevated, it binds to protein and forms what’s known as AGEs or Advanced Glycation Finish Products. These AGEs then switch on inflammation by resulting in leakiness from the gut, that is what affects the mind probably the most. This is actually the toxic aftereffect of bloodstream sugar as it requires the mind.
